Generally, you must issue Court proceedings within 3 years of the incident causing the injury, but if you did not know of the cause or the injury until later, the 3 years will usually 'run' from the date you become aware. Also, if you were under 18 at the time of the accident, time does not start to 'tick' until your 18th birthday.
